What a wonderful experience! Gavin and Ilona are fantastic hosts who really want their guests to have a good time. The rooms are beautiful, with lovely patchwork made by Ilona.
The surroundings are second-to-none, there can’t be many B&B’s which are accessed through a tunnel under the Telford Canal.
Along with your hosts you could be greeted by the Chickens that have laid your breakfast eggs, or possibly one of the orphan Lambs.
Wander over to the first site of Torcastle Castle and view the river Lochy you may glimpse a site or the Otters. Walk the forests through Banquo’s Walk and you could see Red Squirrels and Deer.

Torcastle b&b was absolutely luxurious and the special touches made such a difference.  We loved the modern decor and the gorgeous scented highland soaps and oversized fluffy towels.  Your hospitality was exceptional and we felt well and truly pampered.  The pet lambs, Primrose and Hector, were a big hit with my mom and I.  We also loved the hens clucking merrily about your large field.  Breakfast was absolutely delicious and again the difference was in the detail – free range eggs (thanks to the clucking hens) and Stornoway black pudding.  I loved the walk along the river and up to the remains of an old castle.  Everything about your b&b was exceptional – the house, the rooms, the hospitality, the food, the setting and of course the luxurious special touches.  The cost of the b&b offered superb value. We have to say it’s rare that a b&b surpasses all our expectations.  We will definitely be staying at yours again.
